The Rev. Javier Almendárez Bautista was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, December 17, 2016. Javier celebrated his first communion at St. Paul’s on December 18. Click HERE for photos of Javier’s first communion service as celebrant as well as photos of the coffee hour in Javier’s honor at which his family attended.
Advent envelopes are available in the pews throughout Advent, and on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Funds collected in these envelopes are designated to continue the mission and ministry of St. Paul’s.
The diocesan website announced on December 13 that the Rev. Milind Sojwal has withdrawn from the slate as a candidate for XII Bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina. It is expected that one or two candidates will be added to the slate in January. The current candidates are: The Rev. Charles T. Dupree and The Rev. Samuel S. Rodman, III. Photos are posted of the Arts and Crafts Festival for Outreach, held Nov 12, 2016. Click HERE for pictures. We were able to raise $5964 for outreach. Our single largest contribution was from Prayer Stitchers, who raised $1638. Thanks to you all!
