T.P. Collection (Oct 2)

We will have our next toilet paper collection for Dorcas Ministries Food Pantry on Sunday, Oct 2.  In case you missed the June 26 success – we collected 842 rolls – do you think we can beat that record on Oct 2?  Look for the bins in the Parish Hall, and thank you for supporting this ministry.

If you have served or currently serve in the U.S. military, St. Paul’s would like to recognize you on November 13, 2016, the Sunday after Veterans Day, by listing your name, branch of service, and rank at separation in a special insert in the bulletin. Farmworker Immersion Experience

On Friday, July 29, 2016, fifteen members of St. Paul’s including two clergy (Javier Almendárez Bautista and Sarah Phelps) went to visit thirty migrant farmworkers in a labor camp in Sampson County, NC. Carying Place Race for Home (Sep 5, 2016)

St. Paul’s is a sponsor of  the 9th Annual Race for Home thanks to a generous sponsorship donation from a parish family.  The Race for Home takes place on Labor Day, September 5, with gates opening at 7:00 AM for a 10K, 5K, and Fun Mile.  It benefits the Carying Place, a local non-profit working with homeless families.  Since St. Paul’s is a sponsor, all members can participate for free!  Sign up HERE. Refugee Family Update

Here is the latest update on our refugee family from Myanmar who resettled here on June 25.  Mya Kyaw  (pronounced Mia Chaw)  and his family of 6 are doing great.  They love the apartment and are very thankful for the furniture and all the things that we did for them.  There are volunteer opportunities available to help our newest refugee family.  They could use some help being driven to appointments and with ESL instruction.  Click HERE to sign up!  Continue reading for more and to see what you can do….
