Your Gifts at Work

In this week’s Hope for the Journey, Fr. Javier shares about how your contributions make an impact in Cary and beyond: “We cannot help everybody, but we help whom we can, when we can—not just those who fit the mold and look the part of what we would define as ‘deserving’. The works of mercy are just that: mercy. Unearned gifts for those in need, not because they deserve help, but because we are called to serve.”

Dear Friends,      This week I would like to inform you of some protocol changes, invite you to consider being a Student Action with Farmworkers host family, encourage you to sign up for a book study for one of Richard Rohr’s finest books, participate in the Sacred Ground Anti-Racism Series, and offer you the link to worship this Sunday. Sacred Ground Anti-Racism Series Offered

Sacred Ground is a film- and readings-based dialogue series on race, grounded in faith developed by The Episcopal Church. You are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race and racism with a small group, while weaving threads of family history, economic class, and political and regional identity.
